Free leads for real estate agents
Homegrity introduces buyers and sellers to licensed agents at
no charge — on every plan, including the free one, permanently. No per-lead fee,
no referral cut at closing, no bidding. This page explains exactly how that works and
what the limitations are, because if you have bought leads before you are right to
assume there is a catch.
How a lead reaches you
- Someone looking to buy or sell tells us where they are and what they need.
- We look at licensed agents who actually work that area and that price range.
- One agent is introduced. The consumer's details are not released
to anybody else, and the introduction is not auctioned to a group.
- You reply, or you do not. Nothing is charged either way.
What it costs
Nothing, and that is not an introductory rate. Introductions are free
on the free plan and they stay free on the paid ones. Paid plans buy software to run
your business — a CRM you already have for free, plus marketing tools, listing
microsites, scheduled follow-up and, on Elite, teams. They do not buy leads, and they
do not buy placement.
So what's the catch?
Four of them, stated plainly.
- We are early, and the volume is small. This is a new platform. We
are not going to promise you a steady stream of business, because we would be making
the number up. What we will say is that an introduction costs you nothing, so the
downside of finding out is your time.
- We only operate in some states.
We're live in Texas, Florida and West Virginia. You can open
a full account from anywhere and use every tool, but you will not receive
introductions until your state opens.
- You cannot buy your way up the list. If your plan is to outspend
other agents for position, this is the wrong platform — placement is decided on
merit signals and no amount of money changes it. For most agents that is the
feature; for some it is the dealbreaker, and it is better said now.
- Responsiveness matters. An agent who does not answer stops being
introduced. That is not a penalty, it is what the consumer asked us for.
How we make money, since it is not from you
Two ways, and neither of them is your commission. Agents who want the software pay a
monthly subscription. Businesses that serve agents and their clients pay to be listed
in our directory and partner catalogue. We take no percentage of any
transaction and charge no referral fee at closing — the deal you close is
entirely yours.
How to start
If you are licensed in a state we cover, there is a good chance a profile already
exists for you, built from the public state licence register. Claiming it is free and
takes about two minutes. If there is not one, you can create an account directly.

Questions agents ask
Are the leads really free, or free for a trial period?
Really free, with no time limit and no plan requirement. Introductions
are included on the free plan and remain free on every paid plan. We make money on
software subscriptions and business listings, not on leads.
Do I pay a referral fee when the deal closes?
No. We take no percentage of any transaction and charge nothing at
closing. There is no referral agreement to sign.
How many other agents get the same lead?
One introduction goes to one agent. The consumer's contact details are
not released to anyone else, and there is no bidding.
How many leads will I get?
We will not give you a number. Homegrity is new, volume depends on your
area, and any figure we quoted would be a guess presented as a promise. Because
introductions cost nothing, the only thing you risk finding out is your time.
Can I pay to get more leads or rank higher?
No, and this one is permanent. Placement is decided by merit signals
only — no plan, boost or ad spend changes where an agent appears, and the rule is
enforced by automated tests rather than by policy alone.
What happens if I do not respond to an introduction?
It goes to another agent, and consistently not responding means fewer
introductions. Response speed is one of the signals consumers care about most, so it
is one of the signals we use.
My state is not covered yet. Is signing up pointless?
No. You get a full account and every tool — the CRM, the profile, the
marketing features — from anywhere in the United States. You just will not receive
introductions until your state opens, and we will tell you when it does.
